Henan Diesel Engine Industry Co., Ltd. (HND), formerly known as Henan Diesel Engine Factory, was established in May 1958. As a member enterprise of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), HND is one of China’s leading manufacturers specializing in high-speed and high-power marine diesel engines. HND has developed world-class expertise in medium- and high-speed internal combustion engines, including both diesel and gas engines. Over the decades, the company has achieved a successful transformation from technology introduction and assimilation to independent research, development, and innovation, representing China’s advanced capabilities in marine high-speed diesel engine manufacturing.
Recognized as a high-tech enterprise in Henan Province, HND hosts several key national and provincial research platforms, including the Henan Engineering Technology Research Center for High-Speed and High-Power Diesel Engines, the National Enterprise Technology Center, and a CNAS-accredited laboratory. The company also operates the National Engineering Laboratory for Marine Dual-Fuel Engines under the Ship and Ocean Engineering Power System initiative. The “HND” trademark has been honored as a China Famous Trademark.
