234 series diesel engines include 234V6, 234V8 and 234V12. They were originally produced by Henan Diesel Engine Industry Co., Ltd (HND) in 1985 by introducing technology from DEUTZ-MWM Company in Germany. In 2017, HND independently developed an electronically controlled high-pressure common rail diesel engine. The cylinder bore/stroke of the 234 series diesel engine: 128/140mm, power coverage: 186-485kW, speed range: 1500-2100rpm.

The emission standard meet the third-stage non-road emission standard and the second-stage emission standard in China, and the mechanical pump diesel engine meets the Tier II and Tier III emission standard. Widely applied in fields such as public service vessels, fishing boats, oil tankers, marine power stations, land power stations, construction machinery, water pump sets, and petroleum machinery.
